2012-13 School Year Calendar

Following are important dates for the current school year:

• First Day of School for Students – September 4, 2012
• Winter Break – December 24, 2012-January 4, 2013       
• Secondary Exam Days – January 25-31 and June 21-27, 2013
• March Break – March 8-15, 2013
• Last Day of School for Students – June 27, 2013
• PA Days – August 30, September 28 & November 30, 2012, and February 1, April 12 (secondary only), June 7 (elementary only) & June 28, 2013

Every September, the KPR Board sends home a printed "fridge calendar" with all elementary and secondary students. It outlines important dates, including exam days, holidays and PA days, and includes other valuable information for parents.

2013-14 School Year Calendar

KPR’s 2013-14 school year calendar is awaiting final approval from the Ministry of Education, after being approved by trustees in February. Highlights for next year include:

• First day of classes - Tuesday, September 3, 2013
• Winter Break - Friday, December 20, 2013-Friday, January 3, 2014   
• March Break -Friday, March 7-Friday March 14, 2014  
• Last day of classes - Friday, June 27, 2014
• PA Days – September 27, October 11 and December 20, 2013; January 31, March 7, April 11 (secondary only) and June 6 (elementary only), 2014
• Unpaid leave days (no school) – October 11 and December 20, 2013, and March 7, 2014
