School Rentals- Community Use of Schools

The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board makes school facilities and playgrounds available to community groups for activities in accordance with Board Policy B-8.2 Community Use of School Facilities. Community use of schools is subject to availability and may not interfere with scheduled school activities.

The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board has reduced rental fees for community use of schools with funding made available through the provincial Community Use of Schools program which is an initiative that supports access to school space outside of school hours for not-for-profit community groups. The purpose of the rate reduction is to make our schools more available to community users. Fees charged only partially offset the cost of making facilities available to groups, and are reviewed annually. The fees are as follows:

** Not-for-profit – student focused, community oriented groups charging minimal fees (reduced fees rate) (e.g. youth soccer, church groups, adult recreation etc.).

*** For-profit commercial organizations include concert promoters and other business enterprises. For- profit commercial organizations will also be charged for custodian wages. Custodial rates on Saturdays will be applied on a time and a half basis in addition to the hourly rate. Custodial rates on Sundays and holidays will be applied on a double time basis in addition to the hourly rate.
The current custodial rate sheet will be updated as necessary.

Please Note:
